Roof Warranty

From inspection to decades of peace of mind — Crestline Home Roofing stands behind every residential roof we install and repair with manufacturer-backed materials and our own workmanship warranty.

A reliable roof protects your family, your investment, and your peace of mind. That's why every Crestline project starts with a thorough inspection and ends with written warranty documentation — so you know exactly what's covered and who to call if something isn't right.

Confidence in Quality

Our warranty coverage gives you confidence that your roof is protected against manufacturing defects in materials and installation issues in our workmanship — the two areas homeowners worry about most after a major project.

Thorough Inspections

Before we recommend a replacement or repair, our team inspects your roof deck, flashing, ventilation, and existing materials. We install to manufacturer specifications so your warranties stay valid from day one.

Long-Term Protection

With manufacturer material warranties and Crestline workmanship coverage on our labor, you get long-term protection for your investment. We're a local Atlanta company — we'll be here when you need follow-up, not just on install day.

Two Layers of Protection

Every Crestline roof project includes two types of warranty coverage. Together, they protect your home against defects in the products we use and problems caused by how those products were installed.

Manufacturer material warranty

The shingles, underlayment, and accessories we install carry warranties from their manufacturers — typically covering defects in the product itself, such as premature granule loss or manufacturing flaws. Coverage length and terms depend on the product line you choose. Architectural shingles from major manufacturers often include limited lifetime material warranties with prorated periods; exact terms are listed on your product documentation and spelled out line by line on your quote.

Crestline workmanship warranty

We back our own labor with a workmanship warranty on every roof replacement and repair we complete. This covers installation-related issues — improper nailing, flashing failures at our penetrations, valley workmanship, and similar defects in our work. Specific coverage periods and terms are provided in writing when your project is finished.

What's Typically Covered

  • Material defects — manufacturing flaws in shingles, underlayment, or accessories per the manufacturer's warranty terms
  • Installation defects — leaks or failures traceable to Crestline's workmanship, such as improperly installed flashing, boots, or valleys
  • Repair workmanship — our labor on targeted repairs, including pipe boot replacements, flashing repairs, and leak corrections
  • Documentation at closeout — warranty registration paperwork and product information delivered when the job is complete

What's Not Covered

Warranties protect against defects — not every event that can damage a roof. Standard exclusions include:

  • Storm and weather damage — new hail, wind, or fallen tree damage is an insurance or out-of-pocket repair, not a warranty claim
  • Normal wear and aging — gradual granule loss and cosmetic fading over decades of Georgia sun
  • Lack of maintenance — clogged gutters, moss buildup, or deferred minor repairs that lead to larger problems
  • Unauthorized modifications — work by another contractor that voids manufacturer or workmanship coverage
  • Pre-existing conditions — damage or rot that existed before our work and was not part of the approved scope
  • Acts of nature beyond normal weather — floods, earthquakes, and similar events per manufacturer terms

Not sure whether your issue is warranty-related or storm-related? Call us — we'll inspect and give you a straight answer. See our storm damage and insurance support pages if a recent weather event caused the problem.

Keeping Your Warranty Valid

Manufacturer warranties require proper installation per their specifications — correct nail count and placement, approved underlayment, adequate ventilation, and permitted work where required. Crestline installs to these standards on every job. To protect your coverage after installation:

  • Keep your warranty paperwork and completion photos in a safe place
  • Register your manufacturer warranty if the product requires homeowner registration
  • Schedule annual visual inspections — look for lifted shingles, damaged flashing, or debris in valleys
  • Clean gutters regularly so water doesn't back up under shingles
  • Call Crestline before hiring another contractor to modify the roof we installed

Warranty FAQ

Yes. Every roof replacement and repair includes a Crestline workmanship warranty on our labor, plus manufacturer material warranties on the products we install. Specific terms are outlined on your quote and provided in writing at project completion.

A material warranty covers defects in the roofing products themselves — the shingles, underlayment, or accessories. A workmanship warranty covers problems caused by how those products were installed. You need both for full protection, and Crestline provides both on every project.

Call Crestline at (706) 600-3177 and describe the issue. We'll schedule an inspection to determine whether it's covered under our workmanship warranty, requires a manufacturer claim, or is unrelated storm damage. Don't wait on an active leak — call us right away.

Storm damage doesn't void your warranty, but it's not covered by it either. Hail, wind, and fallen trees are separate events — typically handled through your homeowners insurance. Your existing material and workmanship warranties still apply to defects unrelated to the storm.

Manufacturer warranties are often transferable to a new homeowner, though terms vary by product. Contact us with your closing date and we'll help you provide the documentation your buyer or agent needs.

A roof is a 20-year relationship. Out-of-state storm chasers may be gone before warranty issues surface. Crestline Home Roofing is based in Atlanta — we're here for follow-up inspections, warranty repairs, and references for your neighbors years after install day.
